2014
We cleared quite a bit of space up at the back of the patch ready for the year's planting. Notice the tiny cardoon in the foreground...
Lots of calendula, rose campion and red valerian.
Cardoon grows...
The best time of year on the patch - mid June. Red campion, cornflower and poppies were among the best.
A queen bee enjoying the poppies!
One of my favourites - cornflower.
We planted a block of giant sunflowers at the back of the patch.
Plenty of verbena for the butterflies.
Viper's bugloss.
